After what’s felt like an endless run of mixed spring weather, the forecast for May half term 2026 is finally shaping up nicely. Sunshine, rising temperatures and lighter winds are all pointing towards classic early summer conditions around the UK coast.

For surfers, that means fun, clean peelers and plenty of time in the water. For surfskaters, it’s prime time to get rolling under blue skies and keep the stoke levels high between sessions.

Versatility is the Word
The beauty of this time of year is the versatility. You don’t necessarily need firing swell or howling winds to enjoy the ocean. In fact, lighter breezes often clean things up nicely, especially around exposed beach breaks and sheltered bays.
