They have a good firm hard sole for foot protection along with plenty of grip for rock pooling fun and so on. Equally at home on the deck of a surfboard too.

Don’t confuse these with low ‘water shoes’ you’ve seen in the summer in beach shops which are poor quality and allow cold water flush.
