The NCW kid’s winter wetsuit is 5mm throughout the wetsuit where as many winter wetsuits are a mix of 5 and 3mm. As a result, this means ours winter wetsuit is often found to be much warmer but they still have plenty of flex because they are made from super stretch neoprene throughout the wetsuit. The special blend of neoprene we use in our kids winter wetsuit is a very soft and comfortable super stretch which we find kids are really happy to wear and gives a warm snug fit.

Kid’s Winter Wetsuit features:

• High quality “Comfort Super Stretch” neoprene for a snug and comfortable fit.
• Extra warm 5mm throughout the suit, not just the core panels.
• All seams glued and blind stitched to prevent cold water seepage.
• Duratex knee pads.
• ‘Hi Vis’ neoprene on shoulders so you can see your child in the water.
• Heavy duty YKK marine back zip with velcro zip stop and interior zipper inset seam to reduce water flushing.

Our own kids and our customers children use their 5mm winter wetsuits suits for surfing, body boarding, stand up paddle boarding, sailing, kayaking, sea swimming and more. Even when just playing around on a sandy beach in cooler weather many use winter wetsuits just because they will keep your little ones toasty warm. As a result NCW kids winter wetsuits are ideal for the cooler British climate.

Consequently, many folks call them winter wetsuits but we sell them all year round, even in the summer. We’ve certainly seen too many little ones running around the beach shivering with blue lips in the wrong wetsuit. Therefore we know many children need a nice snug thick wetsuit to make the best of fun and games at our seasides.

Children’s wetsuits can be tricky to size as kids of all ages comes in different shapes and sizes! As a result of this it is best to please measure (per diagram below) from their lower ankle (where trousers would end) across the front of the body to the lower centre neck (where a t-shirt crew neck centre would sit). The result will give you the measurement for the sizes in cm.

How to measure for a kid’s winter wetsuit

NOTE  : The ages below are only a guide. For that reason you really need to measure as above to get the right fit. A sung fit is one of the most important factors in a winter wetsuit. Therefore please don’t be tempted to order your kids winter wetsuit in a size far larger than they need so it will last them longer. If the fit is loose it will not keep them nearly as warm as snug fitting wetsuit.

Measurements are for lower ankle to neck as shown above. NOT YOUR CHILD’S HEIGHT. Waist and chest measurements are also listed and what the suit will stretch to. We have used the size chart for many years and we find it very accurate. If your child is between the sizes, go for the nearest size to their measurement, larger if they are broader, smaller if they are narrow. Note these suits have LOTS of stretch.

Kid’s winter wetsuit sizes :
XS = for 1 to 2 year olds – 63cm (chest 48cm to 55cm and waist 43cm to 52cm)
S = most 3 / 4 year olds – 70cm (chest 50cm to 57cm and waist 48cm to 56cm)
M = most 4 / 5 year olds – 80cm (chest 53cm to 63cm and waist 51cm to 59cm)
L = most 5 / 6 year olds – 88cm (chest 57cm to 65cm and waist 53cm to 63cm)
XL = most 6 / 7 year olds – 94cm (chest 59cm to 67cm and waist 55cm to 65cm)
XXL = 7 / 8 year olds – 106cm (chest 62cm to 71cm and waist 57cm to 67cm)
3XL = 8 / 9 year olds – 110cm (chest 63cm to 73cm and waist 59cm to 70cm)

Kids sizes are from £59.95 to £64.95 and junior winter wetsuit sizes (ages around 10 to 16 years) are from £74.95 to £84.95.

Junior Small, ages 10 / 11 – 112cm (chest 64cm to 74cm and waist 58cm to 71cm)
Junior Medium ages 11 / 12 – 121cm (chest 65cm to 76cm and waist 59cm to 73cm)
Junior Large, ages 13 / 14 – 128cm (chest 68cm to 77cm and waist 62cm to 75cm)
Junior XL – 14 / 16 – 140cm (overall height approx. 5′ to 5’5″) (chest 71cm to 79cm and waist 65cm to 77cm)
Junior XXL – 14 / 16 – 150cm (overall height approx. 5’5″ to 5’10”) (chest 73cm to 81cm and waist 66cm to 78cm)
