More good weather news! – imminent beach days conditions update.

We talked about the imminent good weather in this post. Since then the outlook has gone from great to even better. At least if watersports and beach days are your thing. (And you like sunny warmth of course).

Whilst the actual position of the high pressure is far from 100% there’s a strong signal that a large portion of the UK will be bathed in sunshine and heat. Our friends at UK Weather (who use reputable forecasting models to identify the weather trends they use for predictions) put out this update last night.

‘A cracking ECM output showing some very warm/hot weather developing next week. Strange that the GFS has started to back off a bit on tonight’s run yet the ECM goes the other way in terms of heat.

Certainly looking likely that the southern half of the United Kingdom, at least, especially parts of the south-east, east and central southern may see 5/6 consecutive days of 30c-32c. The attached chart showing maximums of 34/35c next Thursday from the ECM.

Just look at that for a prediction!

There is a much larger spread in the ensembles the further north you go which indicates the uncertainty of the position of high pressure and the much warmer upper air so we need to keep an eye on this from a northerner’s perspective looking for some decent temperatures and weather!

As from tomorrow the south and south-east will hit around the mid twenties and we’ll see the temperatures continue to rise each day after with 26/28c maximums showing over the weekend period. Some warmer days for the north too but as the high repositions and moves about they’ll be some poor days too.’

Based on the above summer weather is definitely still looking likely for many. In fact, good conditions are already in effect for many areas already. Finger’s crossed for more!
