We’re pretty sure most of you will have seen the forecasted bonkers summer weather about to hit the UK. With many meteorological outlets in agreement, the coming weekend (July 16, 2022) is set to be super hot! And as the weekend wears on it’s only set to get hotter!
Painting pretty much the same picture each forecasting model is suggesting more or less the same thing. Mercury levels well up into the 30Cs with some areas – particularly around the SE – possibly reaching the 40Cs! This is what our friends at UK Weather have posted this morning.
00z ECM this morning. Slightly down on last nights run but just look at the temperatures! Is that warm enough for you? Looking at all of the model output this morning and they all pretty much paint the same picture, turning hot, potential for some extreme temperatures and the majority of models peaking at 36c+ with some showing more extremes.
We know not everyone cares for hot weather. And in some cases, it’s actually harmful to health. One plus, however, is the water (either inland or sea) is a great place to head when conditions hot up. Paddle boarding being a great vehicle to access these waterways and (literally) ride out the heatwave in a fun way.
