O'Shea 10'8 QSx inflatable SUP review

The new O’Shea 10’8 QSx inflatable stand up paddle boards have landed. And they’re perfectly poised to take bigger riders, or nervous newbies, from point A right through to intermediate level and up. In fact, any type of paddler will find favour with the 10’8.

For 2022 the O’Shea 10’8 QSx comes in a versatile and fun air board package. QSx stands for Quad Stringer Tech and is a premium construction that gives two stiffening stringers on the board’s top and two on the base. This delivers extreme stiffness without breaking the bank. There’s nothing worse than having a premium iSUP kit with a premium price tag. The benefits of QSx construction include affordable performance, lightweight yet durable and rigid construction – both length and width ways – with an easy roll up after use. There are also no cosmetic wrinkles either.

On the water, the 10’8 doesn’t feel huge but offers dependable performance even when water states are less than ideal. This comfort blanket (if you will) is great for any level of paddler – not just beginners. At the end of the day if paddling a 34″ wide board is fun then why wouldn’t you?

In terms of accessories, the 10’8 comes with an easy slot in and thumb tightened US box fin – no tool needed. Which is durable. The high end bag is great and very robust. Traveling with the 10’8 and storage is therefore super easy. A coiled leash ensures a solid connection between rider and board whilst the O’Shea paddle is enough to have riders piloting from the off.

If you’re looking for a super easy to use inflatable stand up paddle board, for all the family, you’d do a lot worse than the 10’8 QSx. Check it out in NCW’s webshop via the link below. And if you have any questions just shout.
