SUP and windsurf team rider for NCW Dave Ludgate (aka Subowti) strikes again! With all his hard environmental work the chap from Cork is up for the Clean Coasts Ocean Hero award.

If you didn’t already know Dave uses his SUP to clean up the waters around Cork Harbour, Ireland. Putting his paddling skills to good use Dave makes a difference every time he goes afloat.
On top of this Dave also organises and is part of clean up group operations through the year. Rallying the troops he and fellow SUP (and kayak) riders aim to make debris free the rivers and waterways in and around Cork.

Not only is Dave an active and experienced stand up paddle boarder. He’s also a committed windsurfer. Using his trusty Tahe Techno windsurf board and Nautix Windsurfing windsurf sail Dave gets out whatever the weather.
As an avid user of the sea Dave’s eco-warrior work is a way of giving something back by ridding his local spots of as much debris as possible. We all should take a leaf out if his book.
