Surfing this half term Get your kid's wetsuit gear sorted in time for school hols. #1

Surfing during February half term – for kids at least – can signal the start of their summer season. If we get a mild and usable weather period this time of year can be a nice respite from the past weeks of winter. Often referred to as ‘fool’s spring’ be under no illusion UK winter isn’t quite done yet. In fact, there’s more chance of white fluffy stuff falling from the sky during March than at other times.

This all said and done February half term can sometimes deliver on the surfing (good) weather front. And with clean waves comes the motivation for getting amongst it. But don’t forget the sea is at its coldest right now. And even with sunshine blazing those air temperatures will still be on the cooler side. It won’t take a lot for adults to get chilly, let alone your offspring.

Warm kids = happy kids.
