NCW team rider Dave Ludgate wins Ocean Hero award.

NCW team rider Dave Ludgate does amazing things as an eco stand up paddle boarder (and windsurfer). Some of you may already be aware of his work clearing Cork’s waterways of rubbish and debris. Aboard is trusty SUP Dave rids the brine of clutter thereby playing his small part in protecting the environment.

Recently Dave was nominated for an Ocean Hero award. We reported this here. Well, great news and congratulations to Dave as he’s only gone and won the thing! Well done Dave your hard work is obviously shining through with people taking notice. And here at NCW we’re extremely proud of you.

I’m totally stoked, I was genuinely surprised. And as I said in the video, no one does what we do to win awards but it is lovely to be recognised by our peers.
