Amped up sessions – tuneage to get you in the mood

It doesn’t matter what musical preferences you bend to, having a good soundtrack to accompany your watery sessions is a must. There’s no way to get amped up and ready for ripping otherwise (in our opinion). Whether it be bass heavy dubstep beats or classic riffs from rock’s greats; crank it up, mosh out and rev yourself up ready for surfing, windsurfing or whatever discipline you love.

But it has to be the right kind of high energy melodies mind. It’s no good sinking into your seat, low down, deep and blissed out chill in the mix. That ain’t going to cut the mustard when tackling bombs. Two foot sheet glass longboarding in the sun maybe – different story at that point. This is winter, however (just about), so something grittier will most likely be needed to set the mood.

Challenging surf needs the right approach. A bit of goth industrial would work a treat. But if you’re not that dark then what about some class from the likes of AC/DC or Guns ‘N’ Roses? Not your bag? No worries. Crank up the breaks with something by Pendulum, The Prodigy or Chems (Chemical Brothers).

The array of music now available is astonishing. And with an abundance of streaming services available, such as Spotify and such like, you’ve never had so much choice. Deep house, thumping electronica, avant garde punk and so on – the list is endless. There literally is something for everyone.

So why is your favourite UK wetsuit brand chatting about the music biz? Well, we think it’s needed. Definitely a necessity for those addicted to charging waves. And then there’s post-session surf moosik, which we’ve mentioned a little about above. Tunes to live by – the soundtrack to your watery life.

As with amped tuneage setting the mood is key. Again, your choice of melody can make or break the ambiance so best spend time sifting through and deciding what tracks make up your perfect soundtrack – in between swells of course.
