Versatility of rubber – NCW’s long John fits many scenarios

SUP surfing with NCW long John wetsuit

Come on in, the water’s lovely. Well, it has been. The last few weeks in Kernow has seen good weather and fun offshore waves. The water’s at it warmest and air temps have been pretty balmy – not bad for October.

With that in mind you’re no doubt thinking about winter and colder thermometer readings, and rightly so. As a ‘one product does many jobs’ NCW’s long John offering is both great for warmer brine while remaining applicable for under wetsuit winter layering. Pair with a thermal rashie and you have a great shoulder season or summer month bit of kit (see accompanying pics for examples of this). Or wear beneath your standard 5/3mm winter wetty and you have a great added layer of insulation – perfect for days when you have to crack the ice before surfing. Bbbbbrrrrrr!

In either circumstance NCW’s long John (or short John for that matter) are great pieces of rubber with added versatility. So the time is nigh. Dig out your trusty steamer and give it a once over. If all’s good (remember NCW offer a wetsuit MOT) but you’re still considering extra protection then give us a holla regarding all things neoprene John (or something like that).
